Golden Gate Rush
This photograph was shot while I was in California for a work trip. I left the office early and drove over to the western side of San Francisco, looking for a location I'd scouted out on Flickr for months. I've only ever shot the Golden Gate Bridge from afar so I wanted a closer shot and I wanted to include the Pacific Ocean.
The sunset was subtle but the tide was on it's way out and the wave action was fantastic. I waded around in the surf for an hour or so, shooting the receding water and the fading light. This image has the perfect combination of a spreading wave some calm sunset light on the Golden Gate Bridge and Marin Headlands.
