Work has taken me out to San Francisco a few times in the last few months and I always struggle to actually break out my camera when I'm there. This most recent trip, at the end of March 2016, I officially blocked out some time on my calendar for a drive out to the Marin Headlands. I've been wanting to shoot there ever since seeing some of Jeff Swanson's photography of the area.
I drove out to Hawk Hill around sunset and walked around to a few different locations as the sun set. The sunset wasn't anything to write home about but I am thrilled with this shot. I rarely shoot anything this artistic or abstract (if it can be called that) but this shot captures that windy sunset on Hawk Hill perfectly.
